What is the difference between 74% and 77%?

For most applications like deicing and water treatment, both grades work well. 77% has slightly higher active content. We recommend 77% only if your process requires higher purity – it’s the grade we supply in large volumes to industrial buyers in Korea.

Which form should I choose?

Flake: dissolves fast, good for making liquid brine (the most popular form for Korean deicing buyers).
Granule: spreads evenly, ideal for road deicing.
Powder: high absorption, best for desiccant use.

Is this product widely used for deicing in cold regions?

Calcium chloride works at much lower temperature (-32°C), which is why it’s the preferred choice for cold regions like Korea. Rock salt is cheaper but only effective above -8°C. Magnesium chloride also melts ice but provides magnesium ions instead of calcium.
